Personal Success

Topic of the day:  How does a person reach a position at which they can describe themselves as having achieved personal success?

The answer to this question in my opinion is dependent on the answer that the same person gives to the question “define success”.

What may be mediocre achievement for one may be reaching the height of ambition for another. Simply said, each individual defines their own world of satisfaction and accomplishment. There is no single occupation or career that is a “fit all” for everyone. We cannot and do not want to be all doctors, lawyers, accountants, politicians, nurses and on and on. In terms of “person success” this blog post is intended for those individuals who have an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to develop their own income generating business, regardless of type. In contrast, many other posts in this Blog reach out to other interests. Just take a look at the tabs at the top of each post.

And my purpose for this post is to ask you to define success and what it means to you, select a path that you would enjoy following, and if you can gain some beneficial information to help you from this post, I welcome you. Today I will focus on opportunities for “person success” in the context of starting your own business of any type.

So how do you start a blog? Most small businesses know they need original-content-laden blogs, but the daunting task of putting one together stops many individuals cold. Others can’t keep up, abandoning their efforts and making their blog pages look like foreclosed homes from 2008.

Here are some ways to ready your blog-writing future before ever hitting the “publish” tab on your WordPress.com, Blogger.com or proprietary web site blogging programs:

Websites, blogs, and social media marketing strike the best balance between customer attraction and retention, according to an October 2012 survey from Constant Contact.
