Why Legal Plans For Commercial Truck Drivers?

Commercial Truck Drivers Provide To Us the Goods and Services Which Are The Lifeblood of Our Country!

Truck Driver From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truck_driver A truck driver (commonly referred to as a trucker or driver in the United States and Canada;…  is a person who earns a living as the driver of a truck, usually a semi truck, box truck, or dump truck. Truck drivers provide an essential service to industrialized societies by transporting finished goods and raw materials over land, typically to and from manufacturing plants, retail and distribution centers. Truck drivers are also responsible for inspecting their vehicles for mechanical items or issues relating to safe operation. Others, such as driver/sales workers, are also responsible for sales and customer service.

Commercial Drivers License

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a driver’s license required in the United States to operate any type of vehicle which has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 lb (11,793 kg) or more for commercial use, or transports quantities of hazardous materials that require warning placards under Department of Transportation regulations, or that is designed to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver. This includes (but is not limited to) tow trucks, tractor trailers, and buses.[1] The Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1986 was signed into law on October 27, 1986. The primary intent of the Act was to improve highway safety by ensuring that truck drivers and drivers of tractor trailers and buses are qualified to drive Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs), and to remove drivers that are unsafe and unqualified from the highways. The Act continued to give states the right to issue CDLs, but the federal government established minimum requirements that must be met when issuing a CDL.[2] ——————————————————————————————————— U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration  Commercial Driver’s License Program (CDL/CDLIS)  http://http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/registration-licensing/cdl/cdl.htm ——————————————————————————-

Why Legal Plans For Commercial Truck Drivers? Due to the fact that commercial truck drivers are on the highway throughout their working day, they are subject to many times more risks than the average citizen. These risks can be described at a minimum as traffic accident risks, personal injury risks, property damage risks, tragic accident risks, legal liability risks, risks of life, loss of employment risks, loss of assets in the form of home and investment risks, family risks, and your freedom from incarceration plus others. These risks are substantial and represent essentially your total welfare as a commercial truck driver. How do drivers reduce and minimize these risks? Many answers are important… good health habits, good driving habits, adequate rest, following sound safety and driving rules, plus a very important asset that not enough drivers and companies pay attention to…and that is the 24/7 available services of an affordable, experienced, competent transportation attorney available to you everywhere that you drive.. How easy is it for a driver to show up in court some 2000 miles away from home? Not very! But a local experienced attorney that knows the local judges and law officers can be extremely valuable. In some cases the driver’s company may provide an attorney to represent their drivers, however in many cases the driver is responsible for his own actions, whether trivial or traumatic. The services of an attorneys throughout the country,  experienced in the commercial trucking industry is an extremely important asset to a truck driver and to their companies.
