The topic of my beginning Blog Post yesterday was

What Can Make Your 2013 A Terrific Success?”

The first question to ask you is what would you like to happen or for you to do during 2013 for the year to be very successful? Each of us have very different lives and very different goals so therefore we need to define what would make you feel that you had a successful year on 12/31/2013. To start your thinking process about defining these goals let me ask you these several questions on which I plan to offer important, solid recommendations to help you. The list could grow during the year however right now, can you say that any of these apply to you? Here are the questions…and for us to have a meaningful dialogue…you need to be very honest with yourself as you answer…

And the first question I would like to ask you is this…

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT WHERE YOU WILL BE IN YOUR CURRENT CAREER FIVE YEARS FROM NOW IN THE YEAR 2018? OR STATED ANOTHER WAY, WILL YOUR CURRENT CAREER PROVIDE FOR ALL OF YOUR NEEDS  FOR AT LEAST FIVE YEARS?

This is a very encompassing question that requires consideration of many sub-questions…

1. .Does your current career provide you with necessary income for all of these?

a.  Your basic living needs…your shelter, transportation, clothing, utilities, insurances?

b.  Does it provide for your and your family’s educational, recreational and vacation needs?
c.  Does it provide for savings for important purchases and retirement?

2.  Do you have confidence that your career will provide stability and income growth to satisfy all of these needs during the next five years?

3. Are you happy in what you are doing in your career?    What would you prefer to do?

4. Do you feel confident that your career will be available to you 5 years from now?

OK…I am sure you get my point! Nowhere during my lifetime could I have answered all of these questions with a decided “YES”. However, I always had confidence in our country, our way of life, our capitalistic society with belief in the intelligence and determination of the American people, and a philosophy that said get an education and apply yourself and you will always be able to earn a good income. My personal assessment is that our country and our opportunities are no longer assured as they once were to past generations.

If you ask the question “how long do people stay in one job in the U.S….the answer is…Three to five years with jobs held between the ages of 18 and 38 having the shortest duration  (source America’s Dynamic workforce: 2006; U.S. Department of Labor).

And from me here is the good news…No matter what your personal goals for your income, your career, your future financial status…you can accomplish in this society whatever you want to accomplish…do you think I am insane? No, I see the reality of accomplishment of whatever anyone wants every day. In my opinion the solution is to use your determination and intelligence to find the proper employment solutions (and I emphasize multiple income streams as solutions) for you that provides the income, time and personal freedom that you want to enjoy. Is there effort? Yes! Is it difficult to find those multiple income streams that can satisfy your needs? Yes. What is great for one person may be the absolute wrong solution for another. I do not suggest that one solution fits all. I do suggest that if you employ the proper strategies and research alternatives properly that you can find solutions that will provide for your life’s needs and in my case, I can will my residual income 2 levels deep into my family.

Even though I have enjoyed extremely successful corporate and startup businesses I am not aware of all the great opportunities that are currently available for you. I think a person can invest more time than necessary in evaluating and participating in multiple opportunities to the extent that they invest a lot and earn very little. I experienced this from1992 to 2001…I had a good income during this time and I chose to develop additional income streams with MLM companies. This was not successful for me and I learned that method of business did not satisfy my needs. I understand that some are successful in MLM and I respect them tremendously. I can count on one hand those that I know that are consistently successful. Many have developed new marketing technologies and can take advantage of the inside knowledge that seems to be necessary..

So even though I do not know about many of the success opportunities that are available, and my information says that less than 3% of internet marketers truly make the incredible monthly incomes, I have chosen to be affiliated with an organization that has been successful for 41 years and with a 3% market penetration in the U.S. and Canada is destined to offer a tremendous opportunity for intelligent, professional and personable people that want to earn a few hundred dollars per month or more than 2 million dollars per year…and surprisingly earnings are based on the old American approach of time and commitment plus effectiveness…either part time or full time. Only 3% of the drivers of large trucks involved in fatal crashes had any alcohol in their bloodstream
  • Eighty-one percent of the drivers of large trucks involved in fatal crashes were reported by police as wearing their safety belts, compared with 62% of passenger vehicle drivers involved in fatal crashes.
  • In fatal crashes involving large trucks, driver-related factors were recorded for 37% of the large truck drivers. In comparison, driver-related factors were recorded for 68% of passenger vehicle drivers involved in fatal crashes.
  • The top two driver-related factors for large trucks and passenger vehicles in fatal crashes were the same: failure to keep in proper lane (11% for trucks, 26% for passenger vehicles) and driving too fast (8% and 23%, respectively).
