Reducing Your Personal Risks

Peace of Mind!

Do you think that giving your family more security, less risks and less worry would be one of the best gifts that you can ever give to your family and loved ones? If you do then you really should read below…

Reducing Your Personal Risks

This week we learned of several additional major ways that our identity can be compromised and as a result could disrupt our lives. Unfortunately there are really no ways to stop or prevent identity theft from occurring. What we can do effectively is to constantly monitor our important identification data such as Social Security numbers, Driver’s License numbers, credit card numbers, debit card numbers, bank account numbers, email passwords, medical records, invoices,  bills, and any other records that may contain our important data…and now to include digital cameras strategically located or built into computers. Constant monitoring of all data and sensitive locations will reveal unusual activity and then you must be proactive to correct the invasion of your data.

Here is what most people do not understand about “correcting any theft or misuse of your data”. Read this carefully!

As a private citizen you do not have access to the high security online data bases that contain your personal information! You cannot  investigate or track or evaluate that information because you do not have authorized access. The solution that I use to monitor my information and restore my identity provides licensed investigators (with offices around the world), using limited legal power of attorney to access and monitor my data, to investigate the theft of my personal identity and to restore my identity if possible.

Can you imagine what you would have to do in case your identity were stolen and you had to take your time and money to correct the situation? And I choose not to protect my data with an insurance policy that reimburses me for some of my  expenses of restoration as I do not have the time, the money, and data access to correct the issues. Sometimes it takes up to three years to restore a person’s identity if ever.

As the risk of Identity Theft pervades our society more and more each day, the value of having your critical data monitored constantly as well as having a team of licensed professionals to restore your identity…becomes much more important. Just consider all the ways your data can be stolen or compromised including department stores, websites, medical records, online purchases, theft of social security numbers at childbirth and many more ways. I recommend and have chosen this solution…

Security holes found in HealthCare.gov

The Washington Post          Published: Saturday, December 21, 2013, 12:01 a.m. WASHINGTON —

Significant security vulnerabilities are still being uncovered in the Obama administration’s health-insurance website, nearly three months after the launch of HealthCare.gov. Officials discovered two such vulnerabilities, known as “high findings,” within the past month, including one this week, Teresa Fryer, chief information security officer for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, told the House Oversight Committee this week in an interview. Fryer said that both issues were being addressed. Read more: ___________________________________________________________________________

Do you have the time, money, licenses, access to personal data, and knowledge to perform your own investigations in case your identity theft is violated? Many plans require that you do the investigation work as compared to these plans that provide licensed investigators with legal power of attorneys. Think about these differences before you buy based on advertising. And not only do we need to protect our income and our precious assets…many of us want to increase our assets…another key way of increasing your security and hedging against company cutbacks and layoffs…and an excellent way to do that is by developing multiple streams of income. By this I mean retaining your current position and income and also taking a few hours each week to develop a second or third income stream by starting your own business.

If you are currently an employee and would like to own your own business, here’s something important to consider. Many times the corporate world can be very appealing and rewarding…I enjoyed working with two Fortune 10 companies for 35 years of my career…General Electric and American Express…in retrospect…I first began building my second income stream in 1993 and built an independent company on the side during this time so I could be the decision maker and reap the rewards…not just for a corporate entity…could this be a good decision for you and your family…maybe either you or you partner has a few hours a week to devote to this valuable effort.

Increase Your Income?

Why should you develop a second income stream?

If you’re happy just being someone’s employee the rest of your life and building their residual income and dreams rather than your own, that’s fine.

If you would like to build your future part or full time…and you’re ready to invest the time to discuss business opportunities then now is the time to contact me.

Warning: Identity Theft

Identity Fraud Increasing

Topic of the day: Suppose that you have just learned that someone is posing as you right now. Surprise! Surprise! This really happens to about 26 people every hour in the U.S.

The bank called you and told you that withdrawals have been made from your checking account, and unauthorized charges have been made to two of your credit cards. Your checking accounts now have a zero balance!

What are you going to do now?

identity theft

Well, the bank also informed you that all of your bank accounts and credit card accounts are now inactive and frozen. Your monthly paychecks were being automatically deposited to your checking account and now your cash flow is shut down as you have no alternative banking account.

So you must find a way to get money from your retirement accounts (hopefully) or negotiate a loan with your banks to continue your cash flow, to clear up the identity theft issues reported by your bank, for you to investigate what other damage may have been done with your social security, drivers license, medical records and personal identity.

Where do you turn now? You heard the incessant advertisements on radio and tv about identity theft protection but said “it will never happen to me” and you never comparison shopped the identity theft programs that you could have belonged to…you just believed your bank and credit card company would protect you…right?

Do you think that you may need to take some time from what you normally do in order to straighten this out? How much time? How much expense? Where will you begin? Do you have access to all of the private banking and credit databases? Would you like to have a licensed private investigator (who does have access) assigned to you to access and restore your assets and work with all of the financial firms, legal firms, and international police organizations?

My choice is to protect myself with the largest security organization in the world and to have licensed investigators working to restore my identity and assets. If this is what you prefer…because you are smart enough to know that you cannot do it yourself…no matter how much insurance you have…and you really can’t afford to take the time to do this even if you had the access…then now is the right time to evaluate and protect you and your loved ones.

Have You Considered Working From Home?

Have You Considered Working From Home?

  • What are the benefits? What are the challenges and  disadvantages? Can you work from home and own your own business? Will my employer allow me to work from home? All are key questions that deserve careful consideration and evaluation!
  • With our new options of working from home either on a part-time basis or a full-time basis…you now have the choice of enjoying your family and loved ones more or working together with them from a home location. This is a great choice…as you can consider the comparative costs of traveling to and from work, the amount of time required to do so,  the important consideration of whom you want to spend your working time with, the relative efficiency of either working at an office, traveling, on the road or at your home.  All of these choices now allow us a new degree of freedom if we choose to exercise it.  For those who can utilize good work practices and work ethics, then potentially they can be much more efficient.
  • I will say that the freedom to work from home creates some challenges…like will you watch that favorite tv program or apply yourself to your work…will you set good work hours for yourself and keep them…it is very easy to be distracted with so many things that go on within your home. Personally I worked in several areas many years in large offices on scheduled hours, in my own personal offices, traveling the U.S. Monday through Friday calling on companies and using my motel as my  office, in one case I drove to and from work 50 miles each way and then traveled 13 states via airplane and automobile, and for the last few years I have elected to work from my home office. Of all of the experiences that I have had, I find that a home office is the most desirable for me…and I can pack my bags and take my home office across the country to any location in Florida, the U.S. or Canada…and accomplish what needs to be done effectively.  One of the greatest advantages to working from home for me is have access and be near those that I care the most about…that is the ones I love as well as my friends. When I spent most of my time each day at the office or on the road, I really missed the interaction with my loved ones. This is by far the greatest advantage that I hear from those who work from home.
  • Many people need the structure of going to an office to be with their other workers every day, or perhaps the work requires that they be present in order to accomplish what needs to be done. In any case, we now have an estimated 40 to 50 million people who are now working either part-time or full-time from home…or a traveling home at their choice. And given the economic environment and since the internet is only some 20 years old now, we are heading into a direction of many more people working from home…and using the internet and the phone as their telecommunications devices.

So studies have been completed to date comparing the pluses and minuses of where you work…there is yet to be grand comparison prepared about which is most efficient however some meaningful studies are emerging.

In summary, my opinions are that the option to work from home opens up many new opportunities and choices of where we want to work, and dependent upon your work requirements, your personal preferences for managing your own time, enjoying your freedom more, spending more time with your loved ones, all enter greatly into the equation of what you would like to do. I do strongly recommend that you consider all options available to you, and the underlying constraints of each. It is an important decision to make as you plan your career and I hope that you will give it ample and due consideration when the time comes.

Home Office vs. At the Office: Which Is More Efficient?

By Bruce Kennedy Posted 9:00AM  01/17/11

Call it telecommuting, telework or working from home: It appears more of us are earning at least part of our salaries from home, and with the boss’s blessings.

According to a survey by the human resources group WorldatWork, the number of Americans who work either from their homes or remotely at least one day a month rose by 74% between 2005 and 2008, to more than 17 million. And if you add to that figure the so-called “contract telecommuters” — folks who are self-employed or run their own businesses — the number jumps to nearly 34 million people.

Recession and Your Financial Goals

Today’s post is about how we must deal with the current 5-year long recession and your financial goals…and what we can do to achieve your financial goals in the midst of this very severe economic downturn. Has this economy affected you in achieving your financial goals? It certainly has affected me. And frankly I don’t see any outside help in sight.  We are now the “regulation nation”, we have added more taxes for virtually everyone, we are seeing the suppression of truth and honesty, and as a result we have very little trust in our government.  Can we really thrive as a nation where the wealthier class supports the remainder with lenient social programs?

Can we as individuals overcome these major obstacles? It is a tremendous challenge!

Entrepreneurship
Financial Independence

My answer is absolutely YES! To me the real “American Way” is when the going gets tough, the tough get going. And I am talking about individuals now…not government. What is going on with our government is frightening in terms of intrusion on our freedoms, our constitutional rights, unbridled government spending, and wastefulness. Unless we change the way that our government is being managed, I have great concerns for the long term existance of our country as a republic.

And now I come back to the individual American citizen. I have great confidence that enough of our citizens are going to stand up and fight for our freedoms until we can get this country on the right track again. We have many citizens of this country that will not accept and talk about what is real truth now. Political correctness is destroying many values in our lives. Many are so very disinterested in what is going on that even some college students do not know about current events including who is the Vice President of the U.S..   I believe that truth will win out. This is a nation founded under God’s principles and beliefs, and I pray that He will lead us in the right path.

financial independence

In the meantime as we gather hands to correct our government, I think the even more serious issue is the welfare of Americans who are struggling for financial security and independence. I submit that the only way for us to individually overcome these obstacles is for each person to take strong responsibility for their own personal financial well-being including finding a way to achieve financial independence. I believe that each person in financial need identify skills that they have and determine how to share those skills and bring value to others. This means many self-based and home-based businesses to bootstrap each of us to prosperity.

And I offer to help individuals find those opportunities where they can become successful and to teach them how to market themselves successfully. For discussion contact me on email at dannorris42@gmail.com or by phone at 407-749-9395.

Do You Want To Sharpen Your Axe?

Abraham Lincoln                                  Image: BrainyQuote

As a smart, savvy business owner do you have all the tools that you need to be effective?

Could you improve your business effectiveness in any way or are you at the top of your game? Do you now have everything that you need to be effective so you don’t have to keep your eyes, ears and mind open to anything that could make you more cost-effective, reduce your risks and improve your profitability? Be honest with yourself now.

“Do you want to sharpen your axe” as Abraham Lincoln recommends?

In my experience owning and working with small businesses I have found that qualified attorneys for many different legal needs are vital to the success of a small business.

And just as important as the need for competent attorneys is the affordability of their services whenever you need their advice. Most small businesses cannot afford to pay $200-$300 per hour for attorneys services.

As a result many business owners will try to handle the issues themselves so as to avoid the costs. And what happens if they need representation in a suit filed against them? Can the business handle such costs?

To help you solve this dilemma, let me show you how you can have most of your necessary legal services fulfilled by qualified, experienced attorneys in all fields of law…with a cost of $50-$100 per month on an ongoing basis. More than 35,000 small businesses now take advantage of these services.

If you would like to know more about how you can access these services across the United States and Canada, just send me an email to dannorris42@gmail.com or call me on 407-749-9395.

I look forward to hearing from you

What Do You Want?

The topic today is…

“What Do You Want”?

I will go first and tell you what I want!

One of my reasons for writing a post most every day is that I enjoy researching the day’s best content out there…to keep up with the pulse of what is going on…and to be able to share some interesting information with you that you may like as well. If you enjoy what you are reading I would really appreciate hearing from you some way…whether it is by phone across country…by email or in the “Comments” at the bottom of the post. I really enjoy hearing from you. I am a real person and I would like to understand what you are looking for…and might say…this is not for you…or the contrary…see the paragraph below.

And one of the real advantages of owning your own blog and domain is that you have the opportunity to write about that which is most important and relevant to yourself and to your audience. A key goal in writing a blog is to develop a following who enjoy what you have to say and benefit from those same things. So I will continue to define for you who I think I am writing for…and perhaps you will confirm or deny that with your comments. I mentioned recently that I am looking to find those of any age and circumstance who are capable of earning $30,000 to $100,000+ a year and have a sincere interest in doing something about it. I read a great blog post today where Robert Kiyosaki said that there are 3 kinds of people that are not suited for this kind of business…and it was highly interesting and right on. I will share that post with you soon.

The Sweet Smell Of Success

by Seth Godin July 19,2013

No one talks about what color the success is, just how it smells.

What Do You Want?

When Amanda Palmer was busking on the streets of Harvard Square, she made enough to pay her rent. She supported herself, she made it work. She didn’t plan on busking, think about busking or get ready to busk. She did it and she succeeded. One person, ten people in the crowd… Didn’t matter, she was working, she was a pro.

I sold my first book project (I owned half of it) for $5,000. I didn’t worry about how big the advance was, I celebrated that I had a publisher. I followed that up a (very long) year later with another book (I owned half of that one, too) which I sold for even less. But now I had TWO publishers, and stories to go with each.

You will be labeled, like it or not. If you earn the label of, “person who builds things, ships them and sells them to someone who values them…” you’re way ahead of the pack. You’re going to be doing this for a long time. When you have the chance, engage with the market, declare victory, make the sale.

More chocolate chip cookies don’t smell that much better than just a few.

Need Funds For Your Small Business?

Money

I hope that you are there right now thinking about how you can get some money to start or grow your business! And your need could range from the entrepreneur who has never tried to start a business before to the owner in business for several years who is ready to take the next step in your growth plan.

This post will give conceptual ideas for all of those range of needs and give you places to search for more information or to come for more discussion on how best to go about your specific need…and that is to call or email me. There is no charge…it is time to give back for all those who helped me!

Need Funds For Your Small Business?

Let’s take this in steps…let’s say that you have your  business idea in mind and you know that you need to develop a business plan if you haven’t done so yet.  You know the product or service you want to offer, you have identified a need in the market, you consider that buyers will pay the price that you can offer, you have a marketing plan, and you now need some money to get started or to grow to the next level.

Financial Independence

Where do you start or go now? You start first by determining how much money you will need to get your business to the next level… think about your needs over a 3-year period in terms of 3-month or quarterly segments.  Put together a budget that will allow you to be successful within that 3-year period…many small businesses require more time than 3 years however looking at this time frame will give you a good estimate of the amount and timing of the money that you will require. So now you have a 3 year estimate planned out in 3 month periods or quarters. What is your total for the first year? The second year? The third year? How long will it take you to get customers to buy your products or services to meet those totals plus your profit targets?

For anyone starting a small business the odds are very much against success, it usually takes longer than you planned to be successful, and it takes more money than you expected. This is not to discourage you…it is only said to prepare you for reality.

Successful small business owners deal with a lot of adversity, are extremely determined to succeed, and usually make good decisions, especially when it comes to money matters. Decisions matter.

So depending upon the amount of money that you have estimated that you will need for your business over 3 years…here are the range of options that I consider that you have to give you some idea of where to begin and where to obtain funds…you can start with as little as $100 or obtain venture capital funding for millions of dollars…it all depends upon what your business venture will require…here are several of your options…

Finally it’s time to start your own business!

1.   Personal Savings

2.   Credit Card Loans

3.   Bank Loans - Secured or Unsecured

4.   Loans from relatives or friends

4..  Grants

5.   Group  or Crowd Funding

6.   SBA Loans

7.   Angel Funding

8    Venture Capital Funding

This should give you an idea of your options…how do you go about pursuing any of these to get started or to fund your business?

There is excellent information available on the internet to give you a starting point.

And for anyone with questions about a given approach I have experience personally with most of these options and will be pleased to discuss any with you on a no-charge basis.

Just give me a call on 407-749-9395 or email me on dannorris42@gmail.com.

I look forward to hearing from you.

What Can Make Your 2013 A Terrific Success?

SUCCESS

Happy New Year!  I sincerely hope that you had a great Holiday Season…and I wish you every success in 2013! Thank you for visiting my sites last year…that was a good beginning for me with you during the last two months of the year and I really appreciated each of you that came by to read…and especially comment and to those that took important steps to improve their lives..

And improving our lives will be my main theme and goal for 2013. If you are like me, I am so pleased that 2012 is behind us…that was a tough year for me…and I know for many of you. I congratulate you on hanging in there and being here to ring in the New Year…with hope and optimism and energy to do our very best and achieve success. With our belief and God’s continuing blessings we will thrive and good things will continue to be bestowed upon us.working-from-home1

This Is Where I Want To Be At The End of 2013…or somewhere like it…how about you?

So let’s get started on how to have an exceptionally successful 2013! Keep in mind that these are my opinions biased by many years of very enjoyable, fun and professional experiences accompanied by wonderful human beings!.

The first question to ask you is what would you like to happen to you or for you during 2013 so that you consider the year to be very successful? Each of us have very different lives and very different goals so therefore we need to define what would make us feel that we had a successful year on 12/31/2013. To start your thinking process about defining these goals let me ask you these several questions on which I plan to offer important, solid recommendations to help you. The list will grow during the year however right now, can you say that any of these apply to you? Here are the questions…and for us to have a meaningful dialogue…you need to be very honest with yourself as you answer…

1. .How do you feel about where you will be in your career in five years from now..in 2018?

2.  Is your current income what you would like it to be?  What do you really want to earn?

3.  Are you spending as much time with your loved ones as you or they would like?

4.  If your employer decided to cease business tomorrow do you have alternative employment…we call it a Plan B?

5.  Are you really enjoying what you are doing in your current employment?

6.  Do you have any money left over at the end of the month?

7.  Do you have a financial plan for your life? A financial advisor?

8.  Are you putting aside money for vacations, your retirement and children’s education?

9.  Do you feel financially independent now?

10. Do you choose how you invest your time or does your employer? How long does it      take for you to ride to/from your work?

11. Do you believe that if you  continue to do what you are doing you will achieve the maximum of what you want in life? It could be that you are very satisfied with your life as it is and if that is the case another post would probably interest you more.

12.  Do you have any personal legal issues including mortgage, debt, divorce, child support, traffic violations or other legal issues ?

13.  Do you have any current identity theft issues? Do you consider that identity theft protection would be valuable to you?

14.  Are you ready to be productively employed today.. and are not sure how to find the right solution that you can trust and not waste your time and energy? Are you confused by all the claims which are very misleading?

15.  Are you ready for a much improved lifestyle…associating with a very high quality class of people with morals, ethics, professional, intelligent people, and committed to success of all of their peers…through cooperation and committed work efforts.

Now if I can show you ways to achieve any of these goals at a cost within your budget…and to offer business opportunities that can lead you to financial independence would you like to begin making decisions that will help you to achieve these goals?

If so, in a series of posts I will begin addressing each of these questions. I hope that you will join me and give me questions and inspiration to give you the right answers!

In case you stay up late on Independence Day 2013

In case you stay up late on Independence Day 2013

I hope that you have enjoyed this July 4th as much as I have! and there is much more to come tonight! I am listening to the fireworks in my neighborhood all around me…wow…a lot of fun!…

I am now watching Jesse Watters, the investigative reporter, on O’Reilly on Fox…how incredibly interesting….so many of our citizens are so out of touch with what is happening in our country….unbelievable.

And now Dennis Michael Lynch, a filmmaker on Sean Hannity’s show for an hour telling the country in great detail what the greatest threat is to our country…terrorists coming across the Mexican border…how very scary…let’s all see this man’s film…he is so concerned that the Senate passed their Bill on Immigration this week…his film which is showing across the country and exposes this risk…and not even being addressed by the gang of eight Senators involved…the film is called “The Cost of Amnesty”.

And for those who would like to begin their trip on the Road To Financial Independence….please check out the following…

Seven Powerful & Effective Methods To Help People Get What They Want Most

July 1, 2013 By Ann Sieg

Think about it. If you’re in the space of working with people in an all volunteer organization (like I do), you’ve got to have some very highly developed leadership skills. This is a stark contrast then, for example, being an employer where you can hold certain things over people’s heads to get them to do what needs to be done. Like firing them.

Does Your Financial Plan Rely On Buying Lottery Tickets?

Social Hour In London
London’s Pubs

Today’s post is on one of my favorite topics…

Does Your Financial Plan Rely On Buying Lottery Tickets?

Most everyone that I know nowadays is saying…I wish I had more money to manage…however where there is a will there is a way…and many are saying… I am making great progress every day towards my goal of financial independence…that time when I am in total control of my time and my lifestyle…and I have no financial concerns ever for the future other than properly managing my wealth.

Yesterday we saw the Minnesota gentleman Paul White who won the $86 Million (before taxes) as his third of the Powerball Jackpot…he kidded about a family gathering recently where he was identified as the one most likely to rely upon winning the lottery as being “his financial plan”. This gentleman and his family and friends (see video below) are one lucky group as the odds for winning a 6-ball Powerball Lottery are in the range of 1 in 15 million. If you like these odds to plan your future then go for it…and I wish you luck. I prefer to rely upon the philosophy of hard work, committed to goals, never give up approach to achieving lifelong dreams approach…how about you?

And that opens dialogue on my next post for a series of pragmatic, practical recommendation steps that can be very valuable in helping you to reach your goals. I am going to give these suggestions as steps on  “The Road To Financial Independence” that I have found to be really important. I am speaking as a layman, with a lot of personal and professional experience, to share with you financial experiences so that you can proceed to the next level of learning and professional assistance whenever your situation justifies that you do so.

At the outset I want to make it clear that I truly support and recommend professional “comprehensive financial planning” for anyone that wants to improve themselves financially. By professional “comprehensive financial planning” I mean with those financial advisors who are truly qualified and act in the best interests of their clients. At the same time I am very reluctant to recommend everyone who calls themselves a “financial advisor” or “investment advisor”. These terms are so misused and vague that to me it does not have real meaning. My recommendations do not include those who just want to work with your investment assets like stocks, bonds, or commodity investments like gold and silver. Financial decisions affect all aspects of our lives and for a professional to give advice on financial matters to an individual I firmly believe that any recommendations should be based on information that includes a full understanding of the individual’s goals and risks owning the assets. Investment advisors certainly have a place in the financial advisory community however I do not include these individuals as clients in my target readers.

If you are committed to achieving financial independence for you and those that you love, if you haven’t already done so, I encourage you to research the subject of “comprehensive financial planning” and to meet with three or more advisors to make a selection of whom you would most prefer to partner with to receive professional financial advice and guidance. Let them recommend your best actions and approaches on all of your key financial issues. I believe very strongly in the value of benefitting from professional services and “comprehensive financial planning” by an experienced qualified financial advisor. They can help you grow, manage and protect your assets much better with their professional knowledge.

So with this introduction to the first in a series of several financial recommendations…I know that not everyone will go out tomorrow and select a financial advisor for comprehensive financial planning however I want you to get started on the process… beginning with some of the most important initial steps. The first step I will feature in my next post is one of the key subjects of a comprehensive financial plan…that of a “Cash Reserve”.

In personal finance, cash reserves are primarily short-term, highly liquid investments that earn a low rate of return that individuals want to have quick access to…for purposes of  meeting short-term, emergency or opportunity funding needs. We will discuss how much is recommended, how to create your cash reserve, where it should be kept and why it is so very important to your financial well-being!

Entrepreneurship Is The New Women’s Movement

Women are leaving the workforce in droves in favor of being at home. Not to be a homemaker, but as job-making entrepreneurs.

By Natalie MacNeil

A quiet revolution is taking shape right now among women. Unlike the Quiet Revolution that began in the 1970s which saw women leave the home and enter the workforce in droves, women today are leaving the workforce in droves in favor of being at home. But unlike generations of women before, these women are opting to work in the home not as homemakers—but as job-making entrepreneurs.

Women have been starting businesses at a higher rate than men for the last 20 years and tend to create home-based micro (less than 5 employees) and small businesses. Women will create over half of the 9.72 million new small business jobs expected to be created by 2018 and more and more are doing this from home offices across the country. It’s a surprising statistic, especially considering that women-owned businesses only created 16 percent of total U.S. jobs that existed in 2010.

A Wake-Up Call for Women Entrepreneurs

New research by the loan broker Biz2Credit reveals some bad news about women-owned businesses: They have higher operating expenses, slimmer margins and lower credit scores than male-owned firms the same age. And they have loan approval rates that are 15% to 20% lower.

Calculating Financial Figures Video(Photo credit: Dave Dugdale)

Biz2Credit studied 14,000 businesses that sought funding through its online platform. Women make up about 29% of applicants on Biz2Credit.

Some of the differences are significant. The women-owned firms had 15% lower annual revenue, and operating expenses that are 21% higher.

These findings may not reflect all women-owned firms–after all, businesses seeking credit may need it because they have cash-flow problems–but they should not be ignored.

What explains the results? Rohit Arora, CEO of Biz2Credit, says that in his experience, many women business owners start out borrowing for their businesses on personal credit cards, instead of establishing credit in the name of their businesses. Result: They fail to build a great credit score for the business.

That has long-term consequences. If they later apply for a loan, their lower credit scores put them in a weaker position. Those who get loans may qualify for less-attractive interest rates. ”Banks are gender-blind, to a large extent,” he says.

Why do I need a will?

A will is a device that lets you tell the world whom you want to get your assets. Die without one, and the state decides who gets what, without regard to your wishes or your heirs’ needs.
