We are most familiar with personal direct sales situations…where the prospect and the seller meet face to face and discuss needs, wants and solutions.  In a given day the number of transactions that can occur in this manner may range from as low as 0 to as many as 200…depending upon the availability of both prospects and sellers…and the demand for the products and services involved. Usually the seller has performed advertising in the form of newspaper, tv media, direct mail or other method in order to attract the prospect to the sales situation…or it could be that the seller is making cold calls for whatever the reason. The buyer is attracted to the seller because there is something about the offer that is appealing. It could be a special price or certain product…the seller has found a way to attract the buyer to consider the offer. Now do you suppose that buyers are constantly deciding that they are in the market for products and services…and go online to search out their options to purchase? The data says that most shoppers have checked out their options online before buying.  Suppose that you could expose your products and services to 10 times the number of prospects that you are doing today. Why Content Marketing Is King

When it comes to marketing strategies, content marketing has just been crowned king, far surpassing search engine marketing, public relations and even print, television and radio advertising as the preferred marketing tool for today’s business-to-business entrepreneur.

Late this summer, HiveFire, a Cambridge, Mass.-based internet marketing software solutions company, surveyed nearly 400 marketing professionals about the state of the business-to-business, or B2B, market, and discovered that marketers are retreating from traditional marketing tactics such as search marketing and have made content marketing the most-used tactic in their brand-enhancing tool box. Fact is, according to HiveFire’s B2B Marketing Trends Survey Report, twice as many B2B marketers now employ content marketing as they do print, TV and radio advertising, according to the survey.

So you now are thinking about beginning your own blog to promote your business and are developing your blogging ideas! Great!

Blogging is a lot of fun if you like writing and creating valuable information for others. That really is what it should be about you know!

The absolute best blog sites to me are those that provide me with some useful and entertaining information that will apply somewhere in my lifestyle.

So, are you familiar with all of the blog sites available to you? How about the blog sites where you can blog free?

Do you know the most popular blog sites? Is it better to use a multi-site domain or what are the advantages of owning your own domain? pic1-Optimized

Will you be able to develop the blog site yourself or will you need assistance? How much? Please don’t underestimate this as I first did…my first three months I did on my own and learned in the fourth month that the team approach with the support of more than 1000 people with many experts is a lot more efficient and productive.

Do you intend to study copywriting to enhance your writing skills?I began in October 2012 with my first blog on Blogger.com, which is a very good free blogger site. My only concern was that I did not own the domain and that the owner of the site (Google) could make decisions which potentially could affect my investment of time and money. After studying with Ty Tribble, leading U.S. blogger, some say the #1 blogger going all the way back to 2003, and enjoying his training course MLM Blog Secrets, I opted to change my blog home to WordPress.org (WordPress.com is also a free site where you do not own your domain).   I am very pleased with that decision for many reasons. WordPress.org seems to be the most popular free site available, the only downside being  that it is built by contributors and if you need support, you need to have good, reliable access to someone who knows WordPress.org.380353_304468282896903_1155722452_ann&tywp

My purpose in writing this blog is to inform anyone considering blogging that there are many stages or phases which you graduate through to reach proficiency and productivity. It is not an overnight process however with access to an experienced team of people you can shave months off your learning and productivity curve.

I have always enjoyed writing so the study and art of blogging is highly interesting to me. Just to give you an idea of the several stages that I experienced, first was the study of attraction marketing and how to apply those techniques, copywriting, learning the value of content, how to design and format my blog to make it appealing so that others want to read it and come back again, the importance of geography and placement and design including color schemes of your blog, coming up with interesting ideas that should be appealing to your reading audience, determining who your target market really is, then finding ways to get my blog distributed, accessed and read by those that are interested. Let me just summarize today by saying that blogging is a lot of fun, it is very rewarding in many ways, it is a constant learning process, and I really wonder if you can ever reach perfection.

Now that you have somewhat of an overview of what my getting started with blogging experience has been, I want to share with the next most important step that you can take to decide if you want to get involved in blogging. If you want to succeed – can you afford not to be a Blogger?

The topic today deals with the question…if you want to succeed in your business or affiliation – can you afford not to be a Blogger – or equivalent?

And this question applies to essentially any vocation or profession…not just to internet marketers. You may be an MLM marketer, direct sales marketer, CPA, attorney, financial advisor, real estate agent, store front business owner, insurance agent, and more. And if your business is investing major amounts in tv, newspaper and radio advertising, then you also  are evaluating the new consumer environment. What is this evolving  environment? At the heart of this transition is the use of the internet where in 2012 there were an estimated 2.4 billion users around the world. Let’s analyze a bit.

In the past we have relied heavily on tv, newspaper, radio, and direct mail advertisement to get branding, product and service messages to the buying market. These methods are expensive, however with enough expenditures they do effectively take products and services to market. We have a major transition occurring in our communications channels, with the internet having a major impact on our buying decisions. We can see that SEO, Online Display Ads and Social Media have displaced direct mail and print ads which includes the newspapers and magazines. At the top of the list is Person-to-Person contact as it should be. And with the internet now about 20 years old, where do you think we will be in electronic communication in 10, 20 and 50 years from now. Hard copy may be a thing of the past.

Today we have proceeded to be a society of electronic communicators, using many different devices, being very busy and with very little time to devote to a subject…we now decide online in seconds as to whether something is worth our time or interesting…and we may spend 10-15 minutes on any topic at the most.

Here is my question to you, if you intend to be in business either now or in the future, how important do you think it will be for you to establish your presence in the digital world? How will you communicate to others about you and your offerings? Certainly personal contact will continue to be the most important method of doing business.  Being involved in activities in your community and business societies are essential. I submit that it is equally important that you establish a strong presence in the electronic digital world.

As leaders in the industry of establishing an electronic marketing presence, I recommend strongly the concepts of Ann Sieg in Attraction Marketing and Ty Tribble in the art of Blogging.  Attraction Marketing and Blogging can be effective in many ways and I submit that these are two of the best trainers in the communications industry for you to learn from.
